EFEMOLINE Ciba Vision/Novartis
Drug Category: Corticosteroid/vasoconstrictor.
Contents: Eye Drops: Fluorometholone 0.1%, naphazoline HCI 0.025%.
Indications: Conjunctivitis, keratitis, inflammatory eye conditions.
Dosage: Adults & Children: Over 2 years, 1 or 2 drops two to four times daily.
Contra-ind: Viral, fungal, tuberculous or purulent infections of the eye. Soft contact lenses.
precautions: Prolonged use in pregnancy or infants. Glaucoma.
adverse effects: Rise in intra-ocular pressure, corneal thinning, cataract, fungal infection.
